Twisted Masquerade Outfits Ranked: The Best DBD Anniversary Skins

Discover the ultimate ranking of Dead by Daylight's Twisted Masquerade cosmetics, from the most disappointing to the must-have skins. Explore our expert breakdown of these limited-time outfits, including detailed critiques of character-specific designs like the Dredge and Nicolas Cage.

Hey everyone! It's your favorite Dead by Daylight lore-enthusiast back again. Can you believe it's already been another year of the Twisted Masquerade? The trial grounds are looking fancier than ever with that signature blue and gold decor, and man, the outfits just keep coming! I've been grinding the event, checking out all the new and old cosmetics, and I've got to say, some of these skins are absolute fire, while others... well, let's just say they missed the mark. So, I decided to rank them all for you, from the "meh" to the absolute must-haves. This is my personal take, so feel free to fight me in the comments!

Let's kick things off with number 10.

10. Masquerade Colors - Dredge

Okay, first up, the Dredge. Look, I get what they were going for here. Gaudy, garish, trying to make this shadowy monster stand out. And stand out it does!

The gold-and-blue accents against that red flesh? Surprisingly not awful. There are some cool details if you squint, like the golden-crowned skull. But here's the thing: as a Survivor, you're NOT squinting. You're running for your life! All you'll see is a black fog with a shiny hat before you're on a hook. The rest just looks like colorful blobs. It's fitting for the character, I guess, but compared to the other skins in this list? It just doesn't hold up. Sorry, Dredge mains.

9. Masquerade Actor - Nicolas Cage

NICOLAS CAGE. The man, the myth, the legend in DBD. And they gave him... this? Come on, Behavior! This is the guy known for his wild, over-the-top performances, and they give him arguably one of the most boring Twisted Masquerade fits. It hurts my soul a little.

Don't get me wrong, the mask is carrying the entire outfit. It's actually pretty nice! And the gold watch and leather pants are fine details. But the rest? Those pants look like high-waters! Where are his socks? And those dirty blue loafers? They could have at least given him some slick, gold-accented boots. For Nic freaking Cage, we deserved better. This outfit feels like a missed opportunity for something truly unhinged and fabulous.

Moving up a bit, we have...

8. Masquerade Chainsaw - Hillbilly

Now this one has a solid concept. Hillbilly is a feral, deformed guy with a chainsaw, so putting him in the tattered remains of a fancy party outfit? Genius! The execution has some great points too.

I love the mask haphazardly tied to his face and the subtle, gruesome gold inlaid into his skin. Really creepy-cool. But... it's also a mess, and not always the good kind. The blood on his skin and chainsaw clashes hard with the blue-and-gold theme. The tattered shirt bits are a different shade of blue and yellow? And the biggest crime? THEY DIDN'T BLING OUT THE CHAINSAW! It's just a regular power tool! If they had made the chainsaw match the outfit, this could have been top-tier. Such a shame.

7. Masquerade Shadow - Nea Karlsson

Nea's outfit is a case of "so close, yet so far." About 90% of it is absolutely killer. It perfectly nails that "punk artist crashing a black-tie event" vibe.

The gold spray paint details on her clothes are a fantastic nod to her street artist background. It looks rebellious and stylish. But then... we get to the hair. And the shoes. What in the world is that hair? It's like a mullet and a mohawk had a baby they didn't want. If you're gonna give her a punk mohawk, commit to it! And those pom-pom/tassel things on her shoes? Instant meme material. "WHAT ARE THOSE?!" territory for sure. Those two things drag an otherwise amazing outfit way down.

Alright, we're getting into the really good stuff now!

6. Masquerade Veteran - Bill Overbeck

Our boy Bill! The original survivor, the veteran. Seeing him in fancy duds is a trip, but you know what? He wears it well.

The jacket is utilitarian, just like Bill, but the tassels and braids add a touch of class without being over the top. He's still got his trusty holster on those simple pants, but check out those shoes! So slick, with just the right amount of gold. The mask is cool too—it looks good on his head. If he actually wore it over his eyes, he'd look like a Power Ranger villain, which is kinda funny. The golden phoenix on the mask is a nice touch, symbolizing how you can't keep a good soldier down. Solid, respectful, and stylish fit for a legend.

5. Masquerade Obscure - The Unknown

Okay, hold on to your butts, because this one is PURE NIGHTMARE FUEL in the best way possible. The Unknown is already disturbing, and this outfit dials it up to eleven.

It's wearing a blue-and-gold flapper dress, pearls, and even has a cute little updo. It's trying so hard to be formal and pretty... which makes its mangled body, misshapen limbs, and askew jewels SO much more horrifying. The party gloves don't fit, the shoes are on the wrong feet, and that mask sits atop its twisted face with empty eyeholes. And the weapon? A bloody, broken champagne bottle. It's genius. This outfit is the uncanny valley attending a Great Gatsby party. It's deeply upsetting and absolutely perfect for the character. Not for the faint of heart!

We're in the top tier now, folks!

4. Masquerade Player - Feng Min

Feng Min gets some of the best cosmetics in the game, and this is no exception. On paper, this should be way too loud, but somehow, it just WORKS.

Gold and blue look fantastic on her. The painted vine and flower details on the tuxedo bring a beautiful asymmetry. The gold lapels lined with blue silk shouldn't work, but they scream confidence and class. The shirt-bodice combo with the blue and gold buttons is a lovely touch. And the mask? A fierce lion, which pairs perfectly with the more playful lion design on her back. This outfit is loud, proud, and incredibly well-executed. Feng mains, you are eating good.

3. Masquerade Piggy - The Pig (Amanda Young)

Hands down, this is one of Amanda's best looks ever. It might even be her best. It's the perfect mix of grunge and glitz.

The mask is the star—elegantly painted and, thank goodness, not made from a real pig's head this time! The denim jacket, jeans, and boots give it that cool, casual vibe, while the midriff-baring hoodie is a risky move that pays off big time. And of course, it's all tastefully splattered with blood (as is tradition). Think it's not formal enough? Peep the tiny, perfect gold bowtie. This outfit is stylish, scary, and shows a whole new side to The Pig. A total win.

2. Masquerade Ghost Face - Ghost Face

Of course Ghost Face would have an amazing Masquerade outfit. The man is a star! This skin is sleek, stylish, and deadly—everything you could want.

The gold and blue accents make him stand out just enough without being gaudy, letting him blend into the shadows when he needs to. The black cravat adds that old-world charm against the modern synthetics of his collar and hood. His knife is a masterpiece—a gilt-on-black-on-steel blade with a blue and gold handle. Pure style. And the mask, his iconic piece, brings equal parts elegance and sheer terror. When you see this Ghost Face, you know your final moments are going to be classy... and painful.

1. Twisted Masquerade Outfit - Haddie Kaur

And here we are. The number one spot. You can't beat the OG, the classic. This outfit from the very first Twisted Masquerade back in 2022 is still the undisputed champion in my eyes.

Haddie shows us that "formal" doesn't have to mean a tux or a ballgown. This outfit is the perfect blend of chic and mysterious. The blue and gold theme is bold and beautiful without being noisy or overwhelming. I love the material contrast—the form-fitting leggings against the flowing fabric of the top and skirt. It feels both ancient and modern. And that simple mask, framed by her iconic two-toned hair? It adds an air of mysterious allure that's just unmatched. It's elegant, it's unique, and it set the standard for what a Masquerade outfit could be. A true S-tier skin.

So, there you have it! My definitive ranking of the Twisted Masquerade outfits. What do you guys think? Did I do your main dirty? Is The Unknown's skin too scary to be ranked so high? Let me know in the comments! And remember, whether you're rocking Haddie's elegance or running from The Unknown's nightmare fuel, just have fun out there in the fog. Happy anniversary, DBD! 🎭✨
